Potter Clarkson has teamed up with BrewGoat and some of the best breweries in the Nordics to bring you the Midsummer Mashout™ Swedish home brew competition.
With six recipes to choose from, provided by our good friends at Amundsen, Nya Carnegie, Stockholm Brewing Co, Tempel, Singularity and Hop Notch, now is a great time to go toe-to-toe with the professionals. Each brewery has provided one of its favourite recipes, scaled down to a 19l batch size and accompanied some by tips and tricks to help make your brewday successful.
Simply select your preferred brew from the list below to pick up a 19l recipe kit, containing all ingredients needed and the recipe itself. Your order number is your competition entry number, and the recipe kit will include a label for your entry. Once brewed and submitted, our team of judges shall score each brew against the BJCP guidelines, awarding prizes to the winning entry in each category.
All Recipes will be delivered starting April 12th.

All entries must be received at BrewGoat no later than Friday 4th June and judging shall take place on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th June.
Entry Conditions:
Each entry must be brewed in accordance with the kit and recipe purchased, and will be judged against the other entries for that recipe, as well as against all entries in the overall category.
Winners will be decided by which beer is highest scoring by the judges per category, not which beer clones the relevant recipe most accurately or aligns closest to the specific BJCP category.
All entrants must submit 3 x 330ml or 500ml bottles of their home brew labelled with their BrewGoat order number, as provided in the recipe kit.
No other marks or writing should be present on the bottle, and entries with names or other personal identifying information will be refused entry to the competition (and likely consumed by the organisers without further notice).

The winners will be announced following the final judging session on Sunday 6th June. All winners will be notified, but if any of the winners do not respond within two weeks, the second highest scorer shall be awarded the prize.
By entering the competition, you are agreeing that your name may be shared by the event organisers in the event that your entry is awarded a prize.
Prizes will be awarded to the brewer of the highest scoring entry in each category, according to the judges’ scoring, as well as the highest scoring overall entry.
The scores provided by the judges are final and are not subject to revision or challenge.
All prizes are not transferable and no cash alternative for any prize shall be offered.
All entrants must be of legal drinking age in Sweden (18 years).
Anmälningsvillkor:
Varje bidrag måste bryggas i enlighet med det köpta paketet och receptet och kommer att bedömas mot övriga bidrag , liksom mot alla bidrag i den övergripande kategorin.
Vinnarna kommer att avgöras av vilket öl som får högsta poäng av domarna per kategori, inte vilken öl som klonar det relevanta receptet mest exakt eller som ligger närmast den specifika BJCP-kategorin.
Alla deltagare måste skicka in 3 x 330 ml eller 500 ml flaskor av sitt hembryggda öl märkt med deras BrewGoat-beställningsnummer, som anges i receptpaketet tillsammans med vilken av ölen ni tävlar i.

Inga andra märken eller skrift får finnas på flaskan, och bidrag med namn eller annan personlig identifierande information kommer att nekas tillträde till tävlingen (och sannolikt konsumeras av arrangörerna utan ytterligare meddelande).
Skicka alla tävlingsbidrag till nedan skrivna adress, med tillräcklig förpackning för att undvika skada eller läckage.

Vinnarna tillkännages efter den slutliga bedömningssessionen på söndagen den 6 juni. Alla vinnare kommer att meddelas, men om någon av vinnarna inte svarar inom två veckor ska den näst högsta poänggivaren tilldelas priset.
Genom att delta i tävlingen godkänner du att ditt namn kan delas av evenemangsarrangörerna, om ditt bidrag tilldelas ett pris.
Priser delas ut till bryggaren med den högsta poängen i varje kategori, enligt domarnas poäng, liksom den högsta poängen totalt, alltså en total vinnare bland alla öl.
Poängen från domarna är slutgiltiga och kan inte revideras eller utmanas.
Alla priser kan inte överlåtas och inget kontantalternativ för något pris ska erbjudas.
En deltagare kan lösa flera recept hos Brewgoat® och tävla i det önskade antal klasser som erbjuds.
